I have a history with the original DS, because it fucking hates me. My I present to you my DS saga:

1st DS: I found it on vacation in the back pocket on the back of one of the car's seats. I didn't know what it was and it didn't have the charger, stylus, or any games. Eventually I got a charger for it then I bought Super Scribblenauts for it. (Still one of my favorite games, just recently reached 100% completion.) It was blue and worked perfect, later I found out it was my sister's DS. Oops, never returned it. Broke when I was carrying it in my hoodie middle pocket and it feel on the concrete, suprisingly this only damaged the hinge, and it was a long time of lots of superglueing and then it justing breaking again. Eventually my brother stepped backwards onto it and it completely broke the hinge completely off. Again, this didn't put the thing out of it's misery and it lived out the rest of it's life in agony until the ribbon cable connecting the two screens finally wore out and it wouldn't boot. Later, I removed the two screens and broke it open to get parts to try to repair my later DS.

2nd DS: A long time after the original DS, I bought a new one on Ebay. Forgot the read the description and it had a broken hinge, and many failed attempts to fix it and LOTS of superglue the hinge broke off completely. I decided to stop there and just order a new one.

3rd DS: Got a new one, got it, it was slightly melted. The top is wierd and melted and bumpy and it will sometimes stop reading cartridges, other than that, it's fine.
